The city's oldest art museum and one of Brazil's most important! Founded in 1905, the Pinacoteca is housed in a beautiful early 20th-century building renovated by renowned architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha. The collection of 11,000 works spans Brazilian art from the 19th century to today, including pieces by Anita Malfatti, Tarsila do Amaral, and Candido Portinari. There's even a tactile gallery for visually impaired visitors!
